Last week, our holiday "Obieżyświat" allowed us a moment of delicious oblivion. This time we went to a sweets manufactory.
During the trip, preschoolers wondered aloud what to expect on the spot. Will they see a gingerbread house, like from a fairy tale about Hansel and Gretel? Maybe Baba Yaga will be inside? How are lollipops made? Will it be possible to taste sweet delicacies?
After reaching the destination and opening the door, our little travelers' eyes flashed. Everywhere we looked, we were surrounded by sweets! And it was just the beginning of an amazing meeting. The confectioner invited the children to a professional show, during which preschoolers learned what caramel is made of, what beetroot juice is used for and what is the importance of turmeric in confectionery. Everyone could have a close look at the production of sweet delicacies thanks to mirrors, cleverly hung on ... the ceiling! Of course, one of the highlights of the trip was the tasting of freshly made candies. Thanks to this, preschoolers could think about what taste suits them best. It turned out to be a very important knowledge, because the next stage of the workshop was rolling caramel lollipops on your own. We were surprised at how easily the children stepped into the role of pastry chefs! We took the twisted and wrapped, still warm lollipops with us as a sweet gift for parents.
It was hard for us to leave the manufacture. Sugar-frosting turned out to be a real paradise for all sweet and old lovers and we hope that we will go to confectionery workshops more than once!
