Bilingual Kindergarten

The best preparation for school

ZERO school –
Why is this stage of education so important?

Reception is an extremely important educational stage in which the child prepares to start school. Whether a child reaches school readiness depends on its development in many areas: physical, social, mental, emotional and motivational.

That's why at Pomarańczowa Ciuchcia we created our Original Program Bilingual Kindergartento optimally and harmoniously support the development of 6-year-olds in each area and to best prepare children to start school.

Bilingual Kindergarten

WE ARE A STEP AHEAD -
Original program in our kindergarten

Together with parents, we think about the future of our preschoolers. Thanks to our Bilingual Preschool program - in a familiar and safe kindergarten environment - we will equip children with the competences necessary to achieve success in their future school education.

The Bilingual Preschool program is:

(original program) – we teach free communication and fluent speaking in English. We develop the ability to listen and read with understanding. We are preparing to start education at a bilingual school.

The exceptional effectiveness of the program is ensured by the use of the most modern teaching techniques: language games based on structures and functional vocabulary, movement games (TPR), storytelling, songs, engaging activities through drama, art classes, integrated learning (CLIL), mnemonics. Teaching standards are closely linked to the objectives set out in the Common European Framework of Reference.

according to the program of prof. E. Gruszczyk-Kolczyńska – we equip children with the competences necessary to learn science subjects. We develop mathematical and logical skills, teach how to draw conclusions, associate, classify and cause-and-effect thinking.

we develop IT and scientific-technical competences, the ability to think logically, algorithmic intuition and wise, conscious and safe use of new technologies necessary in the modern world. Our digital staff includes the Emys robot, Genibots, Ozobots (at the Politechnika facility) and Scottie Go.

according to the method of prof. B. Rocławski "Glottodidactics" - we develop language competences, teach proper pronunciation and style of speech, argumentation and self-presentation. We develop reading comprehension and writing skills, and develop sensitivity and spelling awareness. We try to show children reading as an excellent way to acquire information on their own. We teach how to use various sources of knowledge.

our original program developed by our psychologists, certified educators and trainers. In our daily educational work, we focus on children's development emotional intelligence. We strengthen self-esteem, self-confidence, awareness of personal power and autonomy, and teach effective communication.

We devote one day a week to learning strategies, including: : :

  • dealing with conflict situations
  • expressing your own needs and setting boundaries with respect for others,
  • treating mistakes as learning opportunities
  • building internal motivation based on agency and making your own contribution.

WE WANT TO -
Additional projects in our Kindergarten

The aim of the project is to provide children with basic knowledge in the field of small economy, finance, entrepreneurship and to improve their financial awareness. Through the proposed activities, games and trips, we want to introduce children to the secrets of conscious planning of expenses, saving and caring for the environment. In the project, we also pay attention to increasing the awareness of receiving the advertising message. The project is carried out in weekly blocks, once a semester.

At least once a semester we carry out a joint project with students from grades 1-3 Gaudeamus Bilingual Primary School (in Bemowo or Józefosław). We select the project topics to suit the individual needs and capabilities of the group in consultation with the teacher teaching in the classes selected to implement the project with preschoolers.

The project teaches important social and life skills: respect, caring for others, cooperation, empathy. Once a week, six-year-olds provide knowledge, help and support to preschoolers from younger groups. They activate children by inviting them to play together and, through modeling, support them in developing self-service skills and independence in action.

we shape students' competences and the ability to accept feedback

  • We provide the purpose of the classes – so that children acquire the ability to manage the "learning" process and are able to independently assess to what extent they have managed to achieve the intended goal.

  • We use sticks – spatulas with children's names, which helps organize the discussion and ensures that every preschooler participates in it. It is also helpful in making divisions in the case of tasks performed in pairs or teams.

  • We use lights – i.e. three-color signaling that allows children, while working independently, to assess how they are coping with the task and let the teacher know about it. Green – means they are doing great. Yellow - indicates difficulty and informs that the kindergarten student will need help at some stage of the solution. Red color indicates that the child needs immediate clarification of any doubts he has, because without it he cannot solve the task.

  • We use the feedback "Two stars and one wish", that is, in a friendly and respectful way, we show children not only the strengths of their work, but also what could be done better. We also use the technique for the first attempts at peer assessment - to show six-year-olds how much they can learn from each other.
