HOW?

In Orangeowa kindergartens, Fr.During the first days in the kindergarten, children are immersed in English (language immersion), which, along with the Polish language, accompanies every activity: meals, walks, games and rest. Children learn a foreign language completely naturally and often unconsciously. We want to provide children with optimal language immersion conditions. We have created our own system of work with children based on three pillars:

  1. proven, modern methods of teaching foreign languages,
  2. a team of qualified, passionate teachers who love working with children,
  3. openness to cooperation with parents.
 

The main methods we use:

  • Linguistic immersion - foreign language immersion
  • CLIL - CLIL provision
    • a foreign language is used to conduct various preschool activities (science, mathematics, workshops and research, social, art, sports)
  • TPR - method of reacting with the whole body
    • we take into account the natural need of physical activity in children, therefore the new content is accompanied by movement facilitating understanding and remembering
  • CLT - communicative language teaching
    • communication is a means and an end here, and activities are based on cooperation in pairs and groups, at the same time shaping social skills in children
  • Direct Method (direct method)
    • when we work with this method, the most important thing is for the children to talk and listen a lot in a foreign language; we encourage them to ask lots of questions in English and to formulate as many answers as possible
  • LETTERS & SOUNDS  - a phonetic English language program currently used in kindergartens and schools in the UK to learn English as a first language
    • is the best modern method of developing the ability to recognize sounds, listen, build words, and then read in English.

We create authentic situations so that the practical skills acquired by children are then automatically used in their daily lives.

 WHAT FOR?

In addition to knowing a foreign language at an early age, bilingual children:

  • they learn new foreign languages faster and easier,
  • utterances in a foreign language are not an "event" or "performance" for them - they treat it as one of their many natural skills;
  • have a well-trained memory,
  • they are good at multitasking,
  • they are happy to solve problems / puzzles,
  • are flexible - they adapt to changes more easily,
  • are more open to new, unknown situations,
  • they create relationships with others more easily.

Many of the benefits of bilingual education come later - many more opportunities open up for a bilingual child in education, work and personal life

WHO?

We know that relationships are the most important in education. That is why we make sure that they are in our team teachersempathetic, sensitive to the child's needs, creating an atmosphere of joyful play. At the same time, their education, skills and experience are very important to us, which we verify during multi-stage recruitment.

Everyday support for teachers and parents is methodologist of teaching English, which:

  • takes care of the proper implementation of the program,
  • observes, discusses activities and uses his experience,
  • monitors global trends in foreign language education, analyzes the latest research in this field,
  • develops an English language teaching strategy in our kindergartens,
  • it is a support for parents: introduces them to the world of bilingualism, helps them understand the linguistic development of children and answers any questions.
