Methods of working with children in kindergarten?

Project Method in Kindergarten

One of the most engaging and developing forms of work. The project method in kindergarten allows children to actively explore topics that interest them, through observations, research, conversations, creating art works or experiments. Examples? The "Space" project, "Health" or "Animals in Winter". With this method, children learn to cooperate, think logically and present the effects of their work. This is a method that provides great opportunities for individualization and interdisciplinary integration, as well as working with a gifted child.

Activation methods in kindergarten

These are methods that encourage thinking, action and interaction. These include brainstorming, drama, didactic games, mind maps and role-playing. These methods fit perfectly into modern activation methods in kindergarten, where the teacher becomes a guide and the child a discoverer. Thanks to them, children develop social skills, learn cooperation and communication.

Visual method

Classic, but still effective. It is based on direct learning through the senses: watching, touching, experiencing. It works great in nature classes, educational trips and work with didactic aids. It is the viewing method that helps children better understand the world around them, engaging visual and auditory perception.

Active method in kindergarten

That is, learning by doing. Children learn by performing activities: modeling, building, planting, experimenting. The active method is a true classic that never gets boring. It strengthens motor skills, planning activities and a sense of agency. In practice, this means, for example, independent preparation of meals, tinkering or planting.

Glottodidactics

This is a method of learning to read and write developed by Prof. Bronisław Rocławski. It is based on introducing letters in the context of phonemes and working with the so-called "cued speech alphabet". It works perfectly in kindergarten because it combines learning with movement, singing and play. Children learn to recognize speech sounds and their graphic equivalents, which perfectly prepares them for school education. It improves auditory and visual perception, auditory-visual coordination, fine motor skills, shapes spatial orientation, prevents the development of dyslexia, dysgraphia and dysorthography.

Children's Mathematics by Prof. Edyta Gruszczyk-Kolczyńska

This is a method that develops mathematical concepts based on the child's experiences. Preschoolers learn to count, classify, compare, or recognize rhythms through play, manipulating objects, and everyday situations. Thanks to this method, children develop logical thinking and readiness to learn mathematics at school.

Montessori Method

An individual approach to the child, developmental materials, independence and responsibility. This is a method that develops concentration, order and motor skills. In Pomarańczowa Ciuchcia, elements of this method are present in everyday activities. They allow children to develop at their own pace, in accordance with their own predispositions.

Play Pedagogy (KLANZA)

Joy, cooperation, lack of competition. KLANZA combines active and observational methods with movement and music. Ideal for group integration and building a positive atmosphere. Classes conducted with this method are colorful, full of music and shared laughter, which has a great effect on the atmosphere in the group.

Methods of working with autistic children in kindergarten

In the Orange Train in integration groups we use individualized therapeutic methods resulting from the indications included in the decision on the need for special education and our observations related to individual work with the child. In order to adapt therapeutic interactions to the needs of the child and the holistic development of each preschooler, we create individual educational and therapeutic plans developed by our psychologists, special educators and speech therapists, taking into account the overall development of the child using various methods of work. We implement all recommendations included in the individual decision on the need for special education.

Methods of working with a gifted child

When working with a gifted child, we focus on the project method, individualization, problem-solving tasks, developing creativity and independent thinking. Examples? Competitions, presentations, experiments or programming classes. Such children need challenges, and we are happy to create them.

Multisensory Education

Our multisensory for children it's an explosion of senses! Children learn by experiencing smells, sounds, textures and tastes. This method develops speech, concentration and social skills. It works well both in individual and group work.

Finger games and nursery rhymes

These are not just funny rhymes. They develop language, memory and manual skills. Great as techniques for working in kindergarten during daily rituals. Rhymes engage the child's attention and strengthen sequential memory.

Veronica Sherborne's Development Movement

Touch, movement and a relationship with another person. These elements help children build a sense of security and cooperation. These are also the effects of working with a student with special educational needs - a greater sense of agency, integration with the group and an increase in social competence.

Methods of learning English

IN bilingual kindergartens of the Orange Train , where English is present every day - and in a very natural way, we also use proven and effective methods of learning foreign languages.

· We base our approach on language immersion (language immersion), where English teachers speak to children exclusively in English. English-language education takes place simultaneously with Polish-language education, using all programs used in Pomarańczowa Ciuchcia facilities.

We also use:

·         CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) – integrated subject-language education, in which a foreign language is used to conduct mathematics, natural sciences, art or sports classes.

·         TPR (Total Physical Response) – responding with the whole body. Children learn language through movement, play and action, which facilitates understanding and remembering.

·         CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) – communicative language teaching. Communication is what counts most – children work in pairs, groups, learning to express their thoughts in English.

·         Direct Method – direct method. English teachers conduct classes in such a way that children speak and listen as much as possible. They are encouraged to ask questions and formulate answers. Letters & Sounds – a phonetic reading program used in Great Britain. It helps children recognize sounds, learn the sound and spelling of words, and develop reading skills.

Innovative methods of work in kindergarten.

Modern methods of work in kindergarten are primarily those that engage children completely: mentally, emotionally and physically. In Pomarańczowa Ciuchcia we focus on innovative teaching methods that respond to the individual developmental and educational needs of a child in kindergarten.

In the daily work of a teacher, it is not only the knowledge of teaching methodology in kindergarten that counts, but above all the ability to use methods that activate the student in work. These are the ones that build motivation, creativity and the desire to learn about the world. Innovative methods of working with children and creative methods of working in kindergarten are our everyday life. We work flexibly, taking into account the changing needs of children and their parents.

The forms of work with the child are also important: individual, group, team or in pairs. Each of them has its advantages and place in the daily rhythm of classes. Methods and forms of work in kindergarten must go hand in hand - only then will they bring the best results.
