Positive Discipline and Parenting
Being a parent is a wonderful adventure and at the same time one of the greatest challenges that life puts before us. Experience teaches us that the perfect parent does not exist, so it is worth focusing on being the "good enough" one - aware, supportive, satisfying children's needs. But how to do it?
After all, the moment we become parents is not preceded by receiving a diploma confirming our parenting competence. We do not take a test on the correct course of weaning or a practical exam on the rebellion of a 3-year-old. No one requires us to present a certificate that we know techniques for dealing with children's anger, fear, lack of faith...
There is a proverb in Africa that it takes a village to raise a child. And contrary to appearances, it is not just about the fact that one of the most beautiful experiences we can give a child is diversity. It is also about being open to the fact that sometimes we need help to fulfill our parental roles as best as we can, about being aware that there is nothing wrong with that, about being ready to draw from each other's knowledge and experiences.
Therefore, we cordially invite all of you who wish to develop your parenting skills and those who value contact with your child based on mutual understanding and respect. Orange Parent Academy
