The Active in the Nursery Act involves supporting parents who work, study, are self-employed or are actively looking for work. This is great news for families who use facilities such as ours private nurseries in Warsaw.
Active in nursery since when? The Active in the Nursery program has been in operation since October 1. It replaced the previous subsidy, the so-called nursery voucher in the amount of PLN 400. Now it will be possible to receive up to PLN 1,500 per month for a child covered by nursery care, a children's club or a nanny.
How to submit an Actively in the Nursery application?
Actively in the Nursery application can be submitted online, via the Emp@tia portal, PUE ZUS or electronic banking. This is a quick and simple process that requires providing the data of the child, parent and care institution. Application for Actively in the Nursery It is worth filing as soon as possible after starting care so as not to lose the benefits for the first months.
Many parents ask an important question: Actively in the Nursery or Do You Have to Work? – yes, the benefit is only available to parents who are professionally active or studying. The exception is when a parent is just starting their professional activation (e.g. by registering at the employment office).
Where to submit the Actively in the Nursery application?
Application for Actively in the Nursery must be submitted in its entirety electronically – it is not possible to submit a paper form to the office. Platforms that allow you to submit an application are:
- PUE ZUS,
- Emp@tia,
- online banking.

Who is eligible for Actively in the Nursery?
Active in the Nursery for whom? The benefit is available to parents of children up to 3 years of age who attend registered childcare institutions, such as:
- public and private nurseries,
- children's clubs,
- care provided by a nanny (with an activation contract).
The parent must be professionally active, run a business, study, or be registered as a job seeker. That is, the answer to the question: actively in the Nursery for whom? is: for all those who combine childcare with social and professional activity.

Who is not eligible for Actively in the Nursery?
Unfortunately, not everyone can count on support. Who is not eligible for Actively in the Nursery?
- For parents of children who do not attend formal education,
- parents who are not professionally active (with the exception of people registered at the employment office),
- families using Family Care Capital (FCC) for the same child,
- if the cost of the nursery is covered entirely from other public funds.
In practice, this means it is worth checking all the criteria to make sure your situation qualifies for the program.
Actively in the Nursery benefit – how much per child?
The amount of the benefit depends on the costs incurred:
- up to PLN 1,500 per month – if the child attends a private nursery, children’s club or is cared for by a nanny,
- up to PLN 1,900 – in the case of a child with a disability certificate.
The amount of the benefit cannot exceed the actual fee paid by the parent. This means that if the care costs PLN 1,000, that is how much the benefit paid will be.
